Focus on furniture, to reinvent your interior

The craze for natural and sustainable materials is not about to stop. The furniture is obviously part of the party to sublimate your interior.

For the purists: organic design

The trend of organic style continues again this year and has not finished to amaze us! But do you know exactly what it is? Modern and minimalist at the same time, the principle is based on the harmony of lines, colors and furniture coexisting in your interior. It is almost an art of living, a philosophy!
The organic design comes from the rather intuitive design, as opposed to the rationalist design, defended by the Bauhaus school in 1920. Its objective is to bring nature and man closer together with rounded and soft shapes. Thus the furniture (tables, chairs, sofas...) is all in roundness. The curved and soft forms are a real invitation to cocooning but not to laziness. We are well in the trend "slow life"! To be sure to be really well in style, favor pastel colors and natural materials. They will make the link between your interior and the environment. Wicker chairs, raw wood furniture, flowery patterns on the textile side, vegetal walls, plants... all have their place in this type of decoration. We must not lose sight of the fact that sustainable design is the continuation of the organic style. Nature being the main source of inspiration, the furniture is intuitive and functional. A piece of furniture with an organic design, like a sofa for example, will always find its place in a house, no matter what style of decoration you have chosen. Its round lines will adapt to a bohemian chic, Scandinavian, vintage decoration...

For the nostalgic: the neo-rustic

The neo-rustic style revisits the fundamentals by combining modernity and tradition. The result? A family home atmosphere as we like it, which combines antique furniture with design accessories. It can also be defined as a mix of country chic and cocooning decoration while preserving the raw aspect and the authenticity of a timeless place. The basis of the neo-rustic style is to have a main old element. Opt for a farm table, an old sideboard or an armoire and you're done! If you lack inspiration, many stores offer new furniture with an aged look. Neo-rustic furniture is usually the result of eco-design. It is made of natural materials, such as wood from sustainably managed forests, rattan, linen, ceramic... You can even choose limited edition furniture. It is therefore essential to favor natural materials. On the floor, we are on the same trend by opting for wood, old parquet if possible or stone with the inevitable travertine. To adopt the neo-rustic style, you need to add a touch of modernity. For this, do not hesitate to use modern materials such as steel or glass. Thus, by associating your farm table with metal chairs, you are in the theme! The furniture of trade (of recovery or new), like a butcher's block or a workbench stick perfectly to the atmosphere.

Color but not too much!

In many areas, too much is often the enemy of good. In decoration it's the same. Don't use more than three colors in a room and keep one wall a light color to optimize light.

For the environmentalists: upcycling

Anti-waste is the key word today. Recycling and the trade of second-hand objects are making their way into your decor. In 2022, we give new life to objects or furniture by renovating them, customizing them and even diverting them from their original "function". Flea markets and yard sales allow you to find treasures that will give a unique style to your interior. Furniture manufacturers are also concerned about our planet. Many are now using recycled and recyclable materials. Today's furniture is eco-responsible. To play the upcycling card to the fullest, among the many materials that can be used, recycled wood is undoubtedly the number 1. We make furniture with wood from the recovery. It can come from old boats destined for demolition, pallets, crates ... materials that have lived and have a story to tell us. We give them a second life, after having cleaned and worked them. Recycled wood has a unique aspect. Its small defects give it all its charm when it is reborn as a coffee table! Reclaimed wood furniture is often raw looking but can also be colored or stained. By choosing to buy reclaimed wood furniture, you will have the certainty of a sturdy piece of furniture that will be a real asset for your decoration. Vintage lovers won't tell me otherwise! Some manufacturers have even relied on other materials to create furniture that is out of the ordinary. Some use recycled plastic, others metal or even old tires. The manufacture of furniture represents a great opportunity for outlets for materials that are still difficult to recycle, such as textiles for example, or that we have to process in too large quantities, such as PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles. This is why French and European designers have come up with original furniture made from these materials.

For the fashionistas: the new trends

Objects, paintings, furniture and lighting play on shapes and heights to match the XXL trend of the moment. Spectacular results are guaranteed even in small spaces. From the giant suspension to the oversized sofa, it can make all the difference and give your home a final touch at the forefront of the trend. As long as you use it sparingly so as not to overload the space. For example, a large painting in a studio will find its place preferably at the back of the main room, to give an impression of depth.
We all aspire to transform our interiors into warm and protective cocoons. Designers have followed the trend and the sharp angles have disappeared to make way for furniture all in roundness. Sofas, lighting fixtures, tables, mirrors, rugs... the roundness is in place throughout the house. The rounded forms invite to relaxation and to spend moments of quietude. The sofas and armchairs, for their part, adopt the backs in the shape of "boudin". The Chesterfield sofa still has many years ahead of it! If you like to play with materials, go ahead without restraint! The must-have is velvet. It is everywhere. Sofa, lamps, curtains, wall hooks ... will adopt it with happiness. Both soft and retro, this sumptuous material will be unanimous whether you are a fan of vintage or a more modern style. Velvet will bring a luxurious touch to refined and sober interiors. It will add warmth to those considered a bit cold. Dare to play with contrasts between the softness of velvet and metal elements or with cushions of a different fabric.

The great return of the English style

Subtle mixture of furniture in noble wood and beautiful fabrics, the English style is "the trend". We are seduced by the floral wallpaper and the Victorian style in our interiors.
