Back-to-school allowance (ARS)
Paid by the Caisse d'Allocations Familiales and the Mutualité Sociale Agricole, without any formalities if the child is aged between 6 and 15, this allowance is for all households with at least one child at school. There is an income ceiling that must not be exceeded: €25,775 per year with one dependent child, €31,723 with two children... Between the ages of 16 and 18, you must declare that your child is still in school to obtain this allowance.
Crous scholarships
Normally, students had until May 31 to apply, but it is still possible to do so, even if the result is not guaranteed. This higher education grant is for students whose income, as declared by their parents or legal guardians, does not exceed a certain income ceiling. Each situation is unique and must be calculated individually.
Pass'Sport
This recent scheme is designed to encourage parents to enroll their children in a sports club. It is granted automatically, in the form of a code to be entered when registering for a sporting activity. If you are eligible for the Allocation de Rentrée Scolaire or the Allocation d'Education de l'Enfant Handicapé, you are eligible. The amount is €50.
Pass culture
The Pass Culture is available on the https://pass.culture.fr website and can be used to purchase cultural goods (books, cinema tickets, etc.) via the mobile application. All young people aged between 15 and 18 can apply. There are no means-testing requirements.
Personalized housing assistance (APL)
This is a subsidy to help pay the rent. It can be useful for students leaving home to study elsewhere. It is granted on the basis of income, rent and place of residence. Apply to the Caisse d'allocations familiales and the Mutualité sociale agricole. You can run a simulation on Mercipourlinfo.fr to estimate your entitlement.
